I believe marketing can be helpful.
Good marketing is simply connecting people to the services they already need, not selling stuff no one wants anyway. When you make sure your services are valuable, people will buy from you because they trust you.
It's A Conversation
Marketing is a conversation between you and your buyer. You need to listen to what they have to say about you. Then (and only then) you can talk about how you can help solve that problem. It's a two-way dialogue. You can address their problem directly when you know what it is.
Create a conversation with your ideal customer
You and your company are talking to customers every time they interact with your brand. Increase your listening by understanding who buys from you, why they buy, and when they buy.
If someone knows your name, you're already having a conversation with them.
Now, you need to know more about them. Listen and learn.
When you've listened well - you've done good audience research and put that research to use, then you can distribute the content that speaks directly to your ideal customers.
